Re: Stripped Drain Plug Woes - Second Update

Well, good to hear Scottie chime in on this thread.

It appears Scottie acknowledges the poor customer experience (which can happen in any business) and is apologetic, important is that he is willing to make it right with the customer and unequivocally stands behind his work.

Re: Stripped Drain Plug Woes

The G/S final drive is unique to the G/S and ST, these have become rare and are sought after, fix it right! Scottie Sharpe would be my choice if I didn't have the tools!
My 2 cents.

Re: R80 G/S exhaust

No, really need to let someone do this that has experience and equipment (oven/powder/etc). It is not super involved, many of the powdercoating folks offer this or you can send out to some of the bigger guys like jet-hot. it is operator dependent (like powdercoating) so do your research on whoever i...

Re: R80 G/S exhaust

I have had my G/S ST headers and collector ceramic coated and it worked out great!

Re: R 4

Well, I suppose that could be! In German, a "Walze" is a "roller" or "cylinder" that moves - like on a "steamroller" ("Dampfwalze" in German). So, suspect it refers to the spinning display inside the speedometer, which to me appears to actually be co...

Re: R 4

My '35 R4 series 4 as shown at the 2019 "handbuilt show". Obviously early in its life it received a new front end (R25/3?), either for performance reasons or maybe a crash (although no crash damage evident anywhere). But, it does retain the very rare original series 4 headlight with "...

Re: Suggestion's for R69s tires

I have always heard same size 3.5 front and rear for "neutral" steering on earles models, the US versions specified same front 3.5 but 4.0 for the rear.
