Re: 1972 R75/5 racer mod ,

I don’t know if you’ve done any work on the frame yet, but I have an R75 frame that was raced by R&K BMW here in NJ during the 1970s. It’s pretty heavily braced and modified. I too had toyed around with the idea of building a race/street bike with this one, but I got two race frames from that closed...

Re: TZ750 style Rob North frame

Is this Paul? I ran across the article about your bike on Phil Hall's web page about two years ago. Great story! I had tried to get your contact info from Phil, but nothing seemed to be working on his page to reach him via email. So are you still racing at all, or have you retuned it again for stree...

TZ750 style Rob North frame

Does anyone know what became of this Rob North bike? It was sold on eBay back around 2012, and I have not seen any trace of it since. It's one of only two TZ750 style frames that I'm aware of. The other was made for Reg Pridmore's dealership, to be offered as a kit-bike conversion for your BMW, but ...

Re: Restoring #163

Eric, I hope that you guys survived all the crazy weather a few weeks ago in Texas. When you have some time, perhaps you can shed some light on something. One of the mods that your father did to these racers seems to defy physics. He flipped the clutch throwout lever around, so that it was easier to...

Thanks Eric! This is actually a photo I got from James that your father sent him of the restoration work on 163.

Re: Restoring #163

Eric, it's great that you have info on this one. I've talked to James, the PO, several times. You don't happen to have any clear detail shots of the part that bolts to the engine case to tie in the oil cooler, do you? I can just see it in one of your photos, but the frame tube is covering it. Thanks...

Eric, I can't tell if the photos went out with my PM, so here they are again, just in case.

Early R90S Dellorto Carbs

Can anyone help supply a set of early R90S carbs for the restoration of a very early Euro-spec R90S? The carb numbers are PHM38 AS & AD (not the more common BS & BD). The earlier carbs had ticklers instead of the cable operated enrichment. They were only fitted for about the first two months of prod...

Re: Rebuilding an F750

Eric, I look forward to progress photos of the rebuild. I had heard that Todd saved one or two frames from the dumpster. Here is a photo of my own project. This is one of two frames known to have been built in 1973. The design was commissioned by Helmut Dahne (his bike - frame #1, is the second phot...
