It is possible that this part is remains from the dinosaur's time :wink: , just like the right hand lever of the gear change mechanism, and has no function today. Darryl was the closest one: Mark Huggett explained to me that this part has 2 functions: Internal – holding spring and pin for kick starter ratchet, and on the outside there are bikes that the return spring of the foot brake lever is hooked on to it.
