Through on how to read the coils they are a little low but should be fine. Looking like it’s the ignition system

Guess that would help.
Spark cap to cap 36k ohm
Coil to coil 25k ohm
Coil 1 1.1k ohm
Coil 2 1. k ohm

Talked with a old bmw expert and he thinks it’s the dyna ignition system

I have another post this full details on my bike issues but I’m just wondering is it possible for a coils to test in rang but still not work? I’m trying to problem solve a weak spark
1971 r60/5 Dyan ignition

Use a multimeter to measure the resistance from one spark plug cap to the other cap. Should be 20-22K ohms.

So I rechecked the coils still getting 36 ohms if I check from spark cap to cap if I remove the wire and go directly from coils it’s 25.9 ohms. Can anyone give me some insight on what that means

Ok give try that so test directly from coils? The wires are new just replaced them the other day

Hmmm...can you tell us more about what you did? What was the setting on the meter? Something sounds weird... You may need to test each individual component and then add the numbers up. I did what you mentioned. Test from cap to cap on ohms it was late after a long day so I’ll try again and make sur...
