Rhino lining on HF lift

I just bought one Friday for the $299 price and set it up in my garage. The only negative so far is the diamond plate doesn't give much traction. So I'm thinking of spraying some Rino bed liner on it. That sounds like a good option. I ride my /2 onto the lift with enough momentum to hit the stop; ne...

The Harbor Freight lift is

The Harbor Freight lift is quite stable and a great value with a 1000lb capacity. First thing I had to do was to go to Ace Hardware and get some hydraulic oil to top up the jack. Next thing was adding a couple more U-bolt tie down points. It lifts my R1200GSA just fine to sit on a stool and adjust t...

Posted this on another thread...

Speaking of oil and ZDDP I had read where Vech recommends Valvoline VR1 in straight weight. He still carries it in his store and has an explanation why on his site but is dated 2007. (link above?) Insuring your vintage (or other?) motorcycle

I recently sought insurance for my back-on-the-road /2 & looked at Hagerty but found out that my State Farm agent offers J.C. Taylor (both of which are referenced in the Resource Links at left for 'Insurance'). I inquired about going with Taylor as it would be simple thru my established agent bu...

Vintage Lit & Articles

I thought I'd seen an area for vintage pics / articles here on the site
but am not able to find it again.
So....I've attached a few .pdf scans of some old literature I have.
There's more but I found these short and interesting.
Enjoy!

Selling price update

FYI, I emailed the seller (or his friend) and he told me the selling price
was about $9k. Hope he likes it; I think he paid a premium.

I see what you mean...

one thing is clear - the seller loves Harley's I see what you mean now....I just happened to see a Harley dressed almost the same on the way home from work! Seller has a possible sale going so looks like I won't get to see it. I'd decided to let it pass last night anyway; got my hands full with a /2...
