Re: R69S crankpin plug

What I would worry about is the spigot on the slinger, these usually “lock” into the inner diameter of the plug effectively giving it a snug place for it to sit. Otherwise you rely on only the 2 slinger screws to hold it.

Re: R69S crankpin plug

Check with Brent Hanson, or vintage Beemer parts or Scotty’s’ or Max, anybody that rebuild cranks, they MIGHT have some sitting around🤷🏽‍♂️

Re: R69S crankpin plug

That is unusual,is that a new crank,or rebuilt? Odd they would send it that way, with no plug. It looks great! For main bearings I perouse ebay for NOS bearings from Germany/Britain/Italy,etc. it's anecdotal, but I just have more faith in older manufacturing quality....vs. all the new "Korea&quo...

Re: Sparkplug issue

I have experienced the same, sloppy piston clearance, and wide ring gaps and bad valve sealing will contribute to this. Buy the next size up piston rings, they have slightly more tension, and you can effectively gap them correctly. The correct size rings sometimes come out if the box with the gap to...

Re: Sparkplug issue

How many times are you kicking it for the compression test? You have to kick it over 5-6 times to reach max reading, the first kick is always a good indicator, but will. It give total reading. If it is that low after 5-6 kicks, then you are going in circles with the carbs, I went through the same th...
