Re: Engine wants to suffocate when opening throttle

Update (I thing there's a much more serious problem): The carbs are disconnected from the suction pipes I just removed. It is very difficult to start the engine: When opening the throttle a bit more then normal, the lever kicks back and the nozzle of the idle screw on that side spits fuel. So it las...

Re: Engine wants to suffocate when opening throttle

Thanks a lot guys.
I will find some time this afternoon and warm her up and try again.

While opening the throttle slowly - it revs up ok. I am aware that after adjust...

Re: Connecting Rod assembly lubricant

I used heavy grade oil (I think it was 90) to oil all the internals before assembly.
Tends less to "disappear" until engine run.
I forced 40 engine oil into all ports, though.

Re: Only one side of the engine works...

Thanks Bill.
I really hope you're right, because I've arranged a pressure gauge, and I'm not getting there more than 50 PSI...

And 120 PSI on the other.

Re: Only one side of the engine works...

Last night I spoke on the phone with a retired mechanic, who said that there is no connection between the two sides. According to him, the side that works is very hot, but not because the right side refuses to work and "loads" on it. I see that there is no escape from opening the engine ... What do ...
