Thanks, fixed it.

Hi Allen,

I did have a pinched wire which caused a short on the throttle side turn signal. It took some time to track down, but its fixed. Thanks for the advice.

Gas Pouring out of Carb

I finally have solved the issue, there was a some really hard crud stuck near the top of the bowl I scraped the crud off and made sure the bowl was smooth on the inside. The float is now able to fully engage the needle to shut off the gas. Life is good again ;) Thanks for all the tips. It helped to ...

Thanks for the Tips...

I had the same issue with my horn. I ordered a new one and I was very disappointed when I opened the box. Its small and just doesn't look correct. So I worked on my old horn and with some cleaning, its working again.

Pictures of an Original 1967 R60 or an Amazing Restoration?

Hi Guys, Thanks for all the comments. The bike gives me conflicting signals. Serial number on headlight bucket, throttle clip, general condition tells me its gotta be original. Then the pinstriping is perfect, the wiring looks like its been redone makes me think, heck its been restored. The bosch se...

Newbe question

When you get to adding turnsignals, I can send you some helpful instructions to supplement what's on Vech's site. Hi Allan, If you have more detailed instructions for the Hella bar end turn signals, I would love to have them. I finally got my horn to work, so now its time to wire the signals. My em...

Pictures of an Original 1967 R60 or an Amazing Restoration?

Thank you all for the input. I have come to the conclusion that this bike is not a survivor (which to me means all original, paint, wiring, etc). The second owner has been very helpful and will see the original owners family this November. He said he will find out who did the restoration and when. T...

Sealed 6v Battery

Hi Darryl, Thank for the advice on that. I have purchased a Denfeld Solo Seat, Bar End turn signals, hella head light protector, tubes, wires, rear rack, from Vech and they have treated me very well and gave me some great advice too. The battery you referenced Darryl looks good and I like the price ...

Pictures of an Original 1967 R60 or an Amazing Restoration?

Hi Darryl, This is exactly the type of information I was hoping for. There is no question this 1967 R60 is a beauty. I just want to know if this is a hard to comeby bike that should go to a museum. Or should I feel good about riding it around town without the concern that I am destroying an original...

Pictures of an Original 1967 R60 or an Amazing Restoration?

Hi Allan, Thanks for the input on this bike. Its pretty amazing to hear that you think the paint is original. How confident are you of this assessment? I could provide more photos if you like. I just don't see signs of a paint restoration nor do I see signs that most of the bolts on the engine (or b...

Pictures of the Bike - Is it Original? - I need help.

http://lh6.google.com/phil.mcnamee/RtG6MAv0bPI/AAAAAAAAAGM/HDJEbv8eBlI/s144/1967r60.jpg I just received this bike this weekend and inspected it. As I put on the bumm mirrors and started to put on the bar end signals I stopped in my tracks. When I opened the headlamp bucket, it struck me that bosch ...
