Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

Cory Welcome Back Great looking bike The white wire from the high beam indicator light should go to 56a on the terminal board, power from 56a on the h/l flasher switch and also to the original white 56a on the headlight bulb bulb/socket The yellow low beam wire should connect to 56b on the headligh...

Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

I can't see on your picture how the fairing is mounted. If I am correct, you should be able to gently pry the rubber seal between the fairing edge and the headlight to get a Philips screw driver on the headlight ring screw. So you shouldn't have to mount and remount the fairing to get into the head...

Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

OK... I'm going to hesitantly stick my toe back into the pool one more time... (maybe this one is obvious and easy) Curiosity... Every other motorcycle I've ever owned or ridden and every cage as well, has a light somewhere on the dash that lights up when the hi beam lights are on and goes off when ...

Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

IT WORKS! However I'm an honest man so I will gladly accept a nomination for the annual VBMWMO Dunce Of The Year Award. Maybe Decade. :x Went out to the shop and started by taking the new relay off. "Surely they didn't send me a 87a rather than a 87b?" I took it off and, sure enough it wa...

Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

sranklin Good point POD Did you have these problems when you received your bike or after No idea. It had been sitting for 35 years and the battery in it was severely toast, I suspect it had been frozen and thawed several times. I tried putting one of those portable quick jump units on it (so that's...

Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

Also check the gray wire's position on the back of the ignition switch. 58. if it is accidentally plugged into the spare 30 plug (red), it will energize the circuit even with the key off. St. Thank you for that! Will check tomorrow. Got tied up today so I just let it sit... hope it's out there refl...

Double check the colors going to the new headlight relay
Red to # 30
Yellow to 87
Brown to 85
Grey to 87B
Grey/Green strip to 86

Grey and Grey/green strip wires reversed ?
I did that but will check again. Thank you!

Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

Unbelievably... no. Plugged in the new relay from B2V and the symptoms are the same. Seems like it just about has to be the key switch. Park lights work front and back; key on park lights , light switch on park light Park lights work front and back; key on run , light switch on park light Head light...

Re: Another /6 Electrical Question

Yes that would have the same function as 30 to 87 & 87b compared to 30 to dual 87, energized on when power to relay coil by 85 & 86 Still 40 amp ratings but not sure if the MINI is physically smaller than the original size and would not fit the socket Let us know how you make out with the o...
