Hello everyone. I am almost done with my rebuild (R90/6), and discovered that a race was loose on the front hub. Video enclosed. Are there any sleeving options, or oversized bearing options, or is this just scrap now...

R90/6 Fork Alignment

Hello! Looking for help aligning my front forks. I disassembled the front end and rebuilt the forks and few months back. After I reinstalled the front forks, I tested the range of motion of the fork lowers, confirmed I did not have any stiction, and made sure the axle was able to spin freely through...

Timing Cover Wear

Hi everyone! A good friend of mine just bought his first BMW, a 1975 R90/6. (I have a 1967 R60/2). I have helped him a lot online, but he just sent me this photo of the timing cover. It looks like wear, but I do not understand it. Any advice or perspective on if this is normal, and if so, what cause...

1963 Transmission on a 1968 R60/2?

Hello! I am currently bidding on this transmission on eBay. 1963 OEM. I would like to rebuild one for the experience. Would it also fit on my R60/2 1968 US edition? The air intake ports seem different.... but I would like to have it as a spare. My current has never been rebuilt. Thanks for any advic...

Re: Replacement Brushes/Voltage Regulator

Thanks Vech! Another quick follow up: Do you recommend carrying a spare diode board, if I am on a very long ride?

Re: Replacement Brushes/Voltage Regulator

Thanks! Enclosed is a better picture from upfront. I have found two that are similar. The top one I can buy here in Sweden, and has the correct orientation. The one below is for a K bike, and has the black disc on the back and vertical instead of horizontal. My question really is will any VR work, a...

Replacement Brushes/Voltage Regulator

Good afternoon all! I took my brushes/VR off to get a better look at it. Pics enclosed. I live in Sweden, and shipping and import taxes are a real factor here, so I was trying to source this local, but I can't find a good part number. It is the brushes and VR for a slap on 12V kit I installed years ...
