Mikuni for R27

Hello, I see that most folks are mentioning the Mikuni VM26 665 but I keep finding the 606 which apparently is an earlier version of the 665. Can anyone telkl me if the 606 is in fact suitable, or suggest an alternative? Thank you

R26 and R27 gearboxes interchange?

Hello, I realize the R27 gearbox is rubber mounted, is it possible that an R26 with the R27 bracketry would work? Thanks for any input.

Thank you. My installation instructions say * Important! Avoid prolongation of the green wire between advance unit and ignition coil. This may lead to ignition trouble. I assume they mean don't extend that wire yet they suggest putting the new coil where the old one was and the advance unit in the b...

This is great information and I thank you. It seems like you must have lengthened the green wire between the advance unit and coil, contrary to the instructions. Obviously this hasn't affected performance, and allows for flexibility in locating the components. Can you be more specific re the 12v bat...
