Yes, the oil pickup was extended by means of a aluminum block spacer. I believe it is an original aftermarket pan from "back in the day" as all the deep pans i've seen up until lately have fewer fins, by about half. I think I recently saw that S.Meyer had one similar to mine so maybe the o...

Deep Oil Pan

A quick question, I have a '59, R69 with a old style [lot's of fins] aliuminum oil pan. In the past I've used the original dipstick to add "extra" oil to the fill mark. I believe I recently read the larger pan was not to add capacity, but to reduce windage in the pan, that is to reduce any...

Those cases look nice. I've used plastic media with similar success, but have not tried soda. I have a larger "nice" blast cab. and a smaller one from Horrible Freight. One question, can the soda be used more than once, like in a cab. or does it lose it's "edge" after one use? th...

Blue Moon Scooter

First let me apologize in advance for the length of this post. And also let me state that Danny does seem responsive and does seem to care about the products he sells, however, I have to say that my experience with Blue Moon Scooter has been mixed at best. I bought the stainless pushrod tubes which ...

After looking at your photos, and considering all the "projects" I have going and figuring it would be some time before I got around to restoring the Craven bags I have on the shelf, I took the plunge and ordered a set. I was impressed that a day later I got a message that there was a scra...

" install new linings which should be thicker and might compensate" I don't think the issue is the shoe not adjusting up, but if the drum is turned too thin, it's more prone to overheating which would promote additional warping. I can't help with drum dia., but a suggestion. It wasn't clea...

Thanks for the "lighting fast" reply. Does it look like the rear sidecar ball would be accessible?

BlueMoon Scooter bags

I think his bags look nice as well. Did the bracket or bags interfear with the shock adjustment lever? I seem to remember some people cut the lever off by half to clear this style bag.
Thanks, rob jones

Stieb LS200

Well, reportedly, prior to his cosmetic restoration, the s/c was on a R69, using the 3 point attachment. He has the original upper mount, so I'm thinking[hoping] the 3 point will go right on my bike. On the other hand, between the stuts he has and the adjustable Ural struts I have, might get lucky a...
