I will try the carb cleaner trick first. Putting it in gear only decrease the rpms for that time and then its up again.

speedo facia screw
One of the two tiny speedo face screws has come out and I would like to locktite it in. It looks like I have to take the whole speedo apart. Is this correct or am I missing a simple solution here?
