Thanks a bunch for doing this. I too will have to source a tank for a 1958 r69 project and have found the cost of an original tank too expensive.

I have not had time to try this , but will next time it happens.

I will try the carb cleaner trick first. Putting it in gear only decrease the rpms for that time and then its up again.

One of the two tiny speedo face screws has come out and I would like to locktite it in. It looks like I have to take the whole speedo apart. Is this correct or am I missing a simple solution here?
