Hi Frank, and welcome to the board! I know you're active on the R90S list, and you've got a lot of stories about riding around Australia on it.

I was out to the Death Valley Daze IBMWR Rally a week ago, and the hit of the rally was a husband and wife riding around on their dover white R27. He said they hit 38mph on a long, straight, flat stretch of road down towards Badwater, where the air is densest. They had trucked the bike in from their home in Phoenix. It sounded great.

As you can tell I'm from Downunder. I own 3 BMW's. A 1987 K100RS with 150,000klm purchased second hand with only 8000klm. A 1976 R90S purchased new, now in it's 30th year have covered 395,000klm. And finally a 1956 R26 puchased in 1991 with only 9,000klm now showing 23,000klm travelled.
