Does anybody have a source or code# for the Smoke paint on a 1976 TTSilver R90S?
It seems that Holt designs is no longer in business.

Check out Snowbum's page:

https://bmwmotorcycletech.info/pcodes.htm

He lists the code for Silver Smoke. I don't know much about painting but there's some blending going on so I'm not sure of all that. On this page, he also lists sources for paint. A shame about Holt.

Hello
It is my understanding that back some time ago Holts was not adverse to providing colors and procedure for the S bike paint schemes.( Not 100% sure on this ) Does anyone have this information ? It would be great to archive this in the forum knowledge base. Does anyone have contact with Holts today ?

From SnowBum page:
If you want information on color depth, fading, etc., you need to speak to an expert BMW motorcycle painter.Smoke colors are not what you may think. Many examples. 78 red smoke uses dark blue (not black) for the smoke, and over time might fade to purplish; the silver smoke paint is actually dark green for the smoke. If you want to try to be sure of 100% authenticity, contact someone like Holt's.
Good Luck
Thanks

Holt as a business is no longer in existence. Not even sure of he is still alive. Street view images of his address in Athens, Ohio, shows a building that is in disrepair.
