R26 and R27 gearboxes interchange?

Hello, I realize the R27 gearbox is rubber mounted, is it possible that an R26 with the R27 bracketry would work? Thanks for any input.

Thanks. Does that mean the internals are the same? My R27 case is okay.

yes,the internals are the same.
