R27 headlight chrome ring

Question regarding R27 headlight…
My R27 was a barn find I restored in ‘75.
It has a 6 volt sealed beam headlight bulb mounted in a Hella labeled chrome ring. Is that something meant to comply with USA DOT regulations ? I would like to replace the chrome ring due to rust.
Does anyone know where I can source one like the rusty one ?
Or will I have to buy a lens, reflector, H4 bulb, bulb connector, and a Bosch chrome ring .
