R26 brake drum lever plating cad or black phosphate?

I am restoring an early 1956 R26 and am trying to confirm if the plating for the front and rear brake drum lever were cad or black phosphate. In the parts book under Knowledge Base it says the rear brake hardware was black phos and the front brake hardware was cad. I looked at all the pictures I could find in the shop manuals and sales brochures and it looks like the rear lever and all hardware up to the brake pedal, including the rod, were all black, and the front lever and hardware are all cad plated. But the pictures are really not all that clear. Has anyone seen an unrestored R26 and remember how they were plated? At this point in my restoration it isn't more work to do it one way or the other so I am trying to do the best I can to use the original colors. Thanks for any information you may have.

My '58 R26 has a black rear braker lever and bare metal front. Not sure if you can see it in the painting my daughter did for me .... lol.

There's a clear picture of the right hand side of an R26 in the Heinz Haartel book. It shows a black rear brake linkage & a cad front lever.

Thanks! Some great pics on the link you attached too. That is how I will finish my hardware.
