Vape conversion (generator only)fuse question

Can anyone confirm that I do not need an inline fuse in the headlight bucket if I am only doing the 12V Vape generator conversion. I am keeping the points ignition/magneto system intact.

Should there be a 16 amp fuse on the battery + cable before anything else?

I did exactly what you are doing and I put a fuse in as vape suggests. I would suggest putting the fuse inline.
