I hate to bring it up in this way but, it looks like you have something leaking, the final drive should not look like that? Or did you just ride on a fresh oil and chip stoned road? St.

Yes I have a slow leak at the drive shaft drain plug. The threads stripped and I have silicon on them but it still leaks slowly.

St;
It seems that I was wrong. My RTV sealed plug is holding just fine. All the oil on the right side of my bike is crank case blow-by coming out of the seam at the base of the right jug. I tried re-torquing the head but at 30 ft-lbs. nothing moved. -see my post on crank case blow-by.

Craig, winter is coming, it would be a good time to look to see what is going on with the leaking at the cylinder bases. While i don't have that particular bike and am not real familiar with it, I do know it should not leak like that.

Time to pull things apart and check, something is wrong. Not sure what you have for a crankcase vent system, perhaps that needs investigating? See if Snowbum has any write ups on it. Good luck, St.

LOL, I usually ride all year around, as long as the roads are good. I haven't been riding the past month due to injuries from my totaling my RS and no winter jacket yet. I am looking at an airbag system but am having problems finding things to fit as I want to use them.

LOL, places west and south of us got hit hard by snow up to three feet in one night. We here in Spencerport got one inch. The lake effect winds off of Erie and Ontario tend to go around or over us. St.

To me, it looks as if your mufflers are swopped left and right. Try swopping.
