Image I know this is a long shot but I'm getting very little response from many people and companies I've reached out to. Does anyone have a Lowell Neff subframe or similar BMW /6 sidecar subframe (peikert hilfsrahmen bmw) laying around or know of someone who may? I have a 1975 R90/6 and want to attach my Steib sidecar. I know there are US companies that have newer ones but I want to stay original with the Steib/BMW ball mounts. Thanks in advance for any help getting this hack, back on the road! This has been posted elsewhere, I will update this when she's mounted!!

Have you checked out the Stain Sidecar Fan Club on Facebook? Something like 6000 followers.

Corn,
That picture of the Lowell Neff subframe is theactuall frame I bought for my 74 R90/6 - Ural rig.
It is a very simple construction. You could easily have one fabricated.
My rig is in storage but I could help with some dimensions and material sizes. For the ball ends they can be be turned on a lathe and welded to the subframe.

There is a repair part, for the Earles fork bikes, that is a steel ball on a saddle - a weld on mount that is available. If you are going to fabricate a mount, you will find these very handy, rather than pay someone a lot of $ to make/machine the ball mount itself.

The BMW part number is 46 51 4 000 134 weld-on ball sidecar stud front lower frame R25/2-R27 R51/3-R68 28mm frame tube

The saddle of the ball mount fits a 28 mm round frame tube.
