1975 R90S

I have an R90S with almost 72K miles on it. The maintenance logs that came with the bike identified a dual plug conversion at 36K miles but nothing about any engine work. The bike runs fine and doesn't smoke but Im thinking about completing a top end. Am I crazy to go into the bike without any issues or do the current miles on the bike warrant a top end overhaul?
TIA. Chuck

Save the money and time and ride it until you have an issue.

As long as you know/keep the oil changed, it is not smoking the valves stay in adjustment for about 15k miles between adjustment and you have no funny clanging or loud noises, you are in good shape. St.

Thanks. The plan is to do a compression test this weekend and keep a record in the MX log.

Some of us would say at that milage the bike is just getting broken in, LOL. Just remember when doing the compression check you need to have the slides on the carb open to get air into the system or you may get a low reading. St.
