Heidenau K34s were priced at slightly over $100 with Bench Mark Works...I presume the same price now with MaxBMW?

I have gone to Metzelers on my R69S.

What size(s) does your machine have now? There have been a few tire threads in the forum about tire size, your bike came with a 3.50-18 front and rear. It’s a matter of personal opinion, many riders prefer the stock sizes front and rear. At one time it was popular to install a 4.00-18 on the rear, my machine came that way to me, when changing to the 3.50-18 front and rear, I felt the machine handled much better. (Note the later “US” bikes and Earles bikes post July 68 came with with a 4.00-18 rear!) The Heidenau K34 and Metzeler Block C both have an “old school” tread pattern. The Heidenau K36 has a more modern tread pattern, some folks like that (very similar to the Metzeler ME77). The Block C, K34 and K36 seem to be currently available from on-line retailers. Happy shopping!

Search the forums for more. For your R 50/2 use 3.50-18.

another tire topic. Everyone loves them!

I really want to try out the Continental Classic Attack Vintage Radial Tires,
but they only make them in 110/90R18. For the rear.
I think the conversion for the stock r60/2, 3.50 x 18 tire is 100/90R18

Has anyone tried the Continental Classic Attack?
Has anyone tried 110/90R18?
Is it a major problem to run the rear on the front?

I had the 4.00-18 on my r60/2 when I got it . Handled just terrible in the corners . Did some reading and everyone said put the 3.50 on it . Totally different machine . Corners like it's on rails . Unbelievable.
