I thought there once was an R90S registry. Would like to know if it still exists.
I FINALLY got one to add to my BMW collection.
Bought from original owner who still had the bill of sale.
It has 136K mile but starts right up and runs well. Plan on keeping it as unrestored original.

I am pen pal with the fellow who if memory serves me used to run the international R90S forum. I think he closed it down almost 15 to 20 years ago.

I will check with him if anyone took it over or if it is even in existence. St.

Not specific to the R90S but the micapeak site has a section for BMW Airheads:

My friend got back to me and the R90S international registry just faded away, sorry. I can't think of another. St.

What was the URL or name of the old registry? It might be possible to find remnants of the registry on the Internet archives.

Hi Kurt, I believe the name was "The R90S international registry". Frank Cachia in Melbourne Australia is my friend and pen pal.

Here is some info. https://www.r90s.info/about.html

Some more info. https://www.r90s.info/Newsletters/2004-06.pdf

Sorry, Frank didn't go into more detail as to what happened to the whole thing. I remember, he had a major industrial accident back then and perhaps that was the reason it faded away. St.

When I click on your first link, it actually takes me to a website. I can click around. I get to page where I can view the registry. I don't know what's in the registry, so if I just put random numbers in there for R90S VINs I doubt it's going to work. I can view the pictures. The tech articles come up. It says copyright 2009-2020 at the bottom of the page.

So, what about this website that is not working? Not taking anymore updates?

Kurt, I don't know anything about the websites I sent other than they popped up in a search of the internet. As I said, I was told the international R90S registry died out. It has been gone for about 20 years I think and my memory is not 100%.

The links I posted are the only links I know of. St.

So, the international R90S registry went dormant and is still dormant.

The club or registry now on the web to which I provided a link is the result of the 2014 R90S rally in PA. It is active. St.

The two links were to the same group, The BMW R90S Owners Club. This was a pretty active club for owners of R90S' until 2014 when it began to wind down.

The link to the web page includes the R90S registry, which was accurate up until 2014, and likely very much so still. My bike is listed there.

The link to the magazine Wind Noise brings you the quarterly magazine the BMW R90S Owners Club mailed out to members. It was an excellent source of knowledge and amusement.

Now there is: https://groups.io/g/R90SWORLDNET

Also an excellent source is: http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/chassispages/e ... sis900.htm

From this you can discover when the bike was built.

Hope this helps.
