Brain replacement (ignition board) with rocky point kit

Mine is intermittent. Loose. I can turn on the headlight and hit a bump and the light goes off.
There's nothing to firmly hold the plate points on the bottom front of the board together firmly.
Rattles at med rpm and irritating me.

Looking to replace it with the kit from Rocky point cycle.

Any experience or feedback with this kit??

I'm going to try troubleshooting y rebuilding the sloppy key switch guts

While I'm in there I found that I have a voltage drop.

When key is in and lights off:
Between 30/51 and 56 I get 12.6v

When key turns to lights on voltage drops to 11.88v
This is with no headlight installed. It's on the bench.

Pulled the board and will be installing the rocky point kit.

Any tips or pictures of where you installed the switch and/or relay to ground the magneto?

I have a directional switch on the right perch for bar end signals. That switch also has a third position, a push button, for horn but since I have the standard horn/high-low switch on the left, I use the push switch on the right for the kill.

I also wired my right hand switch for a emergency kill

well, I got some tips from another airhead that does this routinely for people.
I installed a dual pole relay in the bucket that keeps the brown/black wire to the coil/magneto "open" when the switch is on and grounds the magneto when i turn the key to off.
Works like a champ and didn't have to wire up a kill switch.

Relay is RLS 125 or similar dual pole relay.

thanks guys.

I have the same Rocky point ignition. Can you either take a picture or explain how you wired up the relay? Iā€™d like to get rid of my Killswitch.
