Please see the attached picture, in the area of ​​the red circle there is a tiny hole.
I have not yet checked if it also exists in the 2nd carburetor.
Do you think this is okay? If so - what is its role?

I checked now, and there's no drill on the carb of the other side

Darryl Richman has mentioned a compound called Muggy Weld to seal up large holes. I suspect with something like JBWeld, a small drop on the hole should seal it up well.

No, I didn't say that. I was basing it on the fact that the other carb did not have the hole. Maybe someone with a similar model carb can check theirs.

Let's start with the easy things first. Read my post on the other thread and start debugging there.

Michael, I just took both my carbs apart to take a look for you. I don't have that hole on either of mine. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it isn't supposed to be there. A flaw in the casting, maybe? Or maybe your R51/3 is supposed to have the hole and my R60 is not?

I second Kurt's recommendation of Muggyweld, though it's a welding supply company rather than a single product. I've dealt with them a bunch and they're great. Their Super Alloy 1 is probably just what you want. I actually just recently used it to repair one of these very carburetors. It bonds to pretty much any metal and has a nice, low melting point. It's really easy to use.

This tiny hole burst into the hole through which I inserted the wire.
The wire can be seen through it.
After more research and studying online into the night , I already realized unfortunately that it should not be there.
I intend to use https://www.quiksteel.com/, as it is a material that can be obtained here in Israel.
