Centre stand protection

Hi, just finished a really useful job today on my R67 , but it can but used on all motorcycles ! Bought a length of 30mm shrink wrap tubing from Ebay , this particular tubing also has glue inside to make it waterproof [ its for high voltage electrical cable] , I cut off a short length around 3 inches and fed it on the bottom of the centre stand legs ,it can't go right up past the bend in the leg but far enough to protect any newly painted areas that always get scratched when you put it on the stand , heat it gently with a blow torch and hay presto leg protectors at a cost per metre £4.39 [more than enough to do it 3 times if need be ,by the way the shrink ratio is 3:1 so really grips around uneven thickness's ]
