Sorry I haven't checked in for awhile. I cannot figure out how to post a photo of my tank. Hopefully it is enough to say both sides of my tank are tapered at the front to clear the s/c mount. Same as the right side of the tank R68 posted.

this old tank I've had was for a /2 frame. Notice the hole in the toolbox area for a mount it's also meant to fit later frames. Mine was never welded w/ the newer front frame tube. it came off an R50/2.

The standard 8 gal Heinrich fits without issue on my 1975 BMW R90/100 sidecar rig for the last 20 years.

Nobody of any with is making a heinrich gas tank.
by the time you buy a re-pop India made tank,
you'll spend double to cut out the bottom and weld in a new modded replacement
