She's finished
She's finished
When I finally got pictures she looked pretty rough but was all there.
Several of you pointed out with your sharp eyes that it wasn't an R60 but an R69.
After getting all the legalities with missing title corrected I began my search.
I was blessed enough to find a great group of guys just 2.5 hrs south of me that work for Kringles(Danish pastry) and beer.
It started out that they offered to help me with my motor. As time progressed my whole bike ended up one guys' basement and they not only handheld me thru the process, they did the lionshare of the work.
Unfortunately my Uncle who I procured the bike from passed in late October and never got to see the finished project.

Only been around the block a few times with 9 miles on it.
From what I can tell so far, it's smooth and takes bumps extremely well.
It comes to it's forever home on Saturday, with of course rain predicted even though it's been a very dry summer for us.
Sunday I hope to burn some miles into her and Monday I'll take it to work to show off since it's been the majority of my conversations for the last year.

Sitting untouched for 44 years didn't do it any favors but the motor wasn't seized and still made spark.
I was told that if I change the oil every 1000 or so I should never have to worry about the slingers needing service again.
Thinking I may go to the deep pan for oil and add some strong magnets to help with the filtration.
Right now I just wanna bring her home and get some road time with her. Talked to him last night and he said he's started it daily on 1 or 2 kicks.
I trailer it home Saturday the 12th. Sunday I get to ride around and show it off to family and friends.
I plan on putting on around 300 before dropping all the fluids and refill.
