I did it on my /2
1st bend the front 2 tabs down then lift up the front side to side going toward the rear and the rear tabs will come out
replace the plastic piece
then bend one of the rear tabs over and insert the ignition cover
and then bend the front 2 tabs over
now you can use a small screwdriver behind the switch to bend the other rear tab over
