Re: Retouch or repaint?
It only needed a little persuasion. Seriously if you look on the web for R26 and R27 pictures of the left side (muffler) you will notice several have the dust cover, you wont be able to see the screws holding the hubs.schrader7032 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 11, 2020 10:58 amSee...that's why this doesn't appear in the original BMW parts list!

Light bucket and unlined parts.
The headlight bucket, taillight housing and tool box lid. Each has three coats clear.
After more wet sanding (after drying for a few days), I will spray three coats of clear on the tank and fenders.

Ready for clear coat
Humidity has been high so, no painting. The forecast predicts humidity under 50%. I plan to spray the clear on tomorrow.

Almost ready
This is the “fit up” of the hinged back flap and the new stainless steel hardware / domed nut. Notice sintered bronze bushing modified for this purpose.
Perhaps my friend Dave can turn something nicer from stainless?
Maybe domed nuts for the studs, too? (Note the rubber backed washers to protect the paint.)
