Gasoline

Post by Weingartner »

I have been using ethanol free gasoline on my 1982 R65. Now I am considering using the 10% ethanol containing fuel. Will this change cause any harm to the engine?

I've been using it in my /7 for many years. I've not seen any issues to date. Possible concerns that you might watch out for is reduction in gas mileage or overall performance, damage to the fuel lines, comprise of the floats. But as I said, I've not really seen any of that so far.

You might check this website:

You can look for ethanol free gas in your state...seems to be quite a few nearby you, even a station in your town. But I don't think it's that big of a deal.
