Certificate error

Post by Twocams »

I can not log into the Vintage BMW site without getting a sign that says "not secure sign". I have called the 414-333-6987 # and no return reply. I have sent Darryl an email without a reply. I would like to renew my Club membership but if this site isn't secure I cant.
So can someone tell me what is going on. Is this site still useable. The certificate ran out in November I believe.
Any help out there.

Well, the forum still works

Well, the forum still works as you were able to wade through it and get logged in. Yes the certificates are out of date, but because the forum software is so old, the certificates can't be updated. The forum software was written by Darryl from scratch. Going forward, I heard from the President that another software package is being worked on behind the scenes. I don't really know where that is, whether it's in Alpha, Beta, or what stage it is. All volunteers are working the issue.

Can you renew your membership with snail mail?

Thanks for the reply Kurt.
Snail mail? Ill see if I can find one of my old checks somewhere. Maybe it will get there before I croak. LMAO. I've got so use to paying 99% by puter. I did read this morning from the Vintage BMW mag they are working on a new site.
Fourth time, finally got a reply.
Thanks
