Electrical Issues!!

Post by J-Sin »

On my way to work the other day a guy pulled up next to me and told me my tail light was not working. Later that night randomly my headlight stopped working and when I got it to my garage I pulled the key and it continued to run. It seems to me random. After messing around with the wires I got the head light and tail light to work but the neutral light and brake light is not working. And again after pulling the key it remained running. R50/2. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi J-Sin, While overhauling,

Hi J-Sin,
While overhauling, I had a new electrical board fitted inside my headlamp that showed the same problems: The solution was a lot of WD40 inside key hole and when stopping the machine – pulling the key out quickly, at once.
The electrical boards is (maybe?) the only part on that bike that can be considered as not reliable or not successfully planed or built…

Thanks Fred and Micha! I purchased a new board and ignition lock from Vech and installed the parts in time to make it to bike night last night! :)
