S Faring Zippered Storage Bags ?

Post by Motorman2061 »

Hello Airheads,

Does anyone happen to know of small zippered storage bags that could easily be attached with Velcro to the lower inside of the S faring ? I’m having an S faring fitted to a newly restored R90/6 and thought this empty space behind the faring could be utilized for storage of small items.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. If I find something on line that will work, I’ll see what can fitted and will report back.
Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Check out Goodwill stores and similar thrift store in the ladies accessories areas. I have purchased those types of bags there. They used them for cosmetics and other female necessities. Great for keeping different items separated on motorcycle trips. And very cheap in those places.

I used to have these on my R100RS:

They were extremely useful, but I do not know if they would work on an S fairing. On the RS, they fitted in the space between the fairing and the tank.

I assume the R90S fairing is the same as the one on my R100CS. If so (having just looked at mine), it has very little usable space, so these fairing pockets would actually be too large, now that I look a bit closer.

As Jim D said, you'd probably be best off looking for small make-up type bags and adding Velcro strips to the fairing/bags.
