1962 R-69S Carb problem!!!!

Post by schrader7032 »

Who did you order the jet from? Bing? If you did, they might be willing to give you some advice given that you spent some money with them...just a thought...

You could also try calling Vech in Mississippi...

1962 R-69S Carb problem!!!!

Post by VBMWMO »

I am a new member and I am glad to be a part of your group! I just purchased a 1962 R69-S that has been stored for the past 15 years. I cleaned al the usual stuff, and when I was cleaning the carbs, the jet for the float needle (2108) broke off in the Bing body. I ordered a new jet, but need to tap the threads in the body, in order to accept the new jet.

Can anyone tell me what size tap do I use to clean up the threads? !

Thanks!
