Pre war frames

Post by R60SS »

I found this mark on my R5 frame.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen these marks.
If so, is anything known about the marks?
There is one on each lower frame tube.

Thanks.

The mark is located on top of the lower frame tubes, on both sides.
It is on the large tube, near where the smaller tube is attached.
It is near the location where the kick start rubber bumper would be attached.
The frame is in good condition, there are no signs that it has been molested.
This is an early 1936 R5, originally sold in the USA.

No, I am not interested in selling the frame.
It is part of a matching numbers bike I am restoring.
