BMW R11 serie 4 part

Post by norwaybike »

Hi!

I think this forum is my last chance ..
I have requested part number F6645 Kupplungsnabe auf kegelradwelle most vendors I know (Dreher, Torstein Tauch, Oldtimer garage etc) I lack this to have assembled my R11.

Does anyone have a good suggestion how I can get this?

Can pay cash or swap with other original parts R11 should someone have it and will sell.

This part looks very similar to the equivalent part on the R12 (212 1 66 048 0). For obscure parts like this on the R12, I would contact Wolfgang Reichenberger at www.bmw-r12.de to see if the parts interchange and if he has one.

Hello!
The same thought so too Darryl, so I checked on my R12 when I also have a 1941 R12. It's not the same part .. Have also contacted W.Reichenberger, but he could not help me. Attach a picture of the counterpart on cardan shafts so you can see how it should be, and that it is not the same as the R12 ..

Best regards, Frode

There are a few reputable gear cutting firms in Southern Ontario. I am contemplating having some gears cut for a Lagonda car I am working on . That said , I could take apart my R11 and use the part you need as a pattern. Who knows, maybe mine is knackered as well.
I have avoided dismantling the bike as I have so many projects in bits at the present but that does not seem too overwhelming. What do you think? Wait a while or have you exhausted the possibilities?

Hi!
Thanks for the replies brown 3459!
It sounded like a very good idea, and you should be able to do this to get made this a part of me I would be very happy!
According to spare part list is this used for R11 serie3 -5, so hope you have a R11 in one of the series. You then can take a photo and send me by mail when you remove your R11, as I see it hopefully fit.
What time frame do you have on this?

Best regards, Frode

Hi!
Nice R11 you have there! I also believe that there must be a series 3 There is not much difference in the series from what I can see. Is there also a R11 behind the picture? It is certainly important that the correct drive shaft in the picture, that is the same as mine. But to be absolutely sure please send me picture of the current section when you've got dismantled driveshaft. Appreciate that you do this!

Best regards, Frode
