Mini Book Review

Post by Darryl.Richman »

I haven't looked at this book, but have heard similar comments about it.

Instead, you may want to look for the out-of-print Illustrated BMW Motorcycle Buyer's Guide 2nd edition, by Stefan Knittel & Roland Slabon (Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-7603-0082-8). This is the predecessor to the book you're looking at, and is quite authoritative, though its coverage ends at 1995.

I am not sure why Motorbooks went to new authors, but it apparently is a terrible mistake.

Mini Book Review

Post by VBMWMO »

I have just recently thumbed through a copy of BMW Motorcycle Buyers Guide at the local book store. It is written by Mark Zimmerman and Brian Nelson. The first few pages contained so many errors it was almost laughable. Laughable until I realized many novice BMW enthuiasts may be actually buying this book as a guide. Has anyone else looked at it ?
