James,
You say you always use Cleco-type fasteners. I'm very familiar with pop rivets but don't understand how Cleco fasteners temporary hold and release. Would this kit be suitable?

Hunt, if you don’t have Cleco fasteners start in the middle and work your way out. As you go you may need to drill the holes to make them perfect. Not as good as using Clecos but it still works.
