Ultra-Rare 4 cylinder R60

Post by ZebZ »

This rig currently for sale in Oregon (not mine). Some nutter fitted a VW engine into a R60 body. I can't decide if this person should have gotten a medal or a faced a tribunal for his crimes. I think justice would have been done the first time he opened up the throttle or hit a corner at more than 5 MPH. Still...part of me wants to see this run. At least it would be cheaper to get this engine running than the original. I can't recall what VW engines made in terms of horsepower but I feel like a R69 engine would have gotten close.

This was done quite often. I have two people who have those quite close to where I live.

Occasionally it was also done with a Porsche engine and sometimes a BMW 700 engine.
