Airhead Mechanic Position Available

Post by scottiesharpe »

Scottie's Workshop is seeking a 7th employee to fulfill an available position of Expert Airhead Mechanic.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working on airheads, be detailed and meticulous, clean and neat and seeks to relocate to Murphys (or nearby). The position will primary focus on repair and maintenance on 1970 and newer airheads early K-bikes (we don't currently accept work on anything newer, nor do we work on any other brands).

Scottie's Workshop is located on a 3 acre "farm" in lovely Murphys CA, 3200 ft elevation, Route 4 in the Sierra Nevada, about 50 miles to the summit of Ebbetts Pass. We are a 2 hour drive to the San Francisco Bay Area.

We repair, maintain and restore vintage and classic BMW motorcycles and Isetta/700. In addition to customers bringing us their machines to us, we also transport machines to and from the San Francisco bay area on a weekly basis.

Housing here in Murphys area is reasonably affordable and we are also offering (while available) onsite subsidized housing on the campus in the form of a two bedroom house which is located on the property. The area (and surrounding Northern California) also offers some of the best roads anywhere in the world.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who seeks a stable, long term career at a premier vintage workshop in a idyllic location.

Pay is based on experience and the type of job you are doing. If you meet the qualifications and are considering relocating, please call me to discuss the position.
