Bike transport recommendation?

Post by tboooe »

I need to have my newly acquired 1967 R69S transported from the East Coast to Socal. Unfortunately my usual guy is tied up for the next 3 weeks. Does anyone have recommendations for a great bike transport service?

I assume you've got this taken care of at this point, but if you or anyone else needs a rec., I like these guys https://www.a1autotransport.com/ Used them a few times and never had a problem. Would definitely give them a call to at least see where they're at pricewise. They're pretty cheap compared to others in my experience.

I used HaulBikes a couple years ago. Recommended.

Hi,

My two HaulBike experiences from Vegas (Mecum auction, very busy) to east coast: one was underpromise & overdeliver - said it would be months and took under 3 weeks, and the other they said 3 months and it took 3 months - without good communications.

I have over a dozen experiences with Mary Lou and team at https://heritagemotorcycleshipping.com/ - they broker, but deal only in bikes and I just shipped a bike last week from SoCal to NJ. From my initial email, pickup was the NEXT DAY and the bike was here 1 week later (it arrived Friday). $1250 (w/ $7k insurance). Just an example, but I recommend them - they've been good for me, and are easy and good to work with...

Good luck,
-Chris

Whew! That is getting pretty pricey though, great service or not.
