But they want to make the Harley riders a little envious... :D

Hope you don't mind my posting this, but I'm a journalist and my review of the R18 just went live. I thought maybe you'd enjoy:

Good review. My local dealer has 5 of these R18's and I don't think they have sold one in over a year !

Thanks, Barry. Since I wrote that BMW's launched a few more models to address the US market, with big fairings and bags. And, most importantly, they fixed that seat!

The look of the prototype is very nice. The production model, like most everything else these days is just too big. A few years ago I was very interested in buying the R7 replica from Nmoto in Miami. It was designed and built on an RnineT chasis. Much smaller, more compact than the R18, and in my opinion better looking. Once again I'm interested if they actually ever built and delivered the R7 replica ? Anyone out there have one of these ?

I actually just recently saw a completed one sitting in a private museum. You can order the kit here:

https://nmoto.com/brand-r7kit/

$7k looks like, BYO bike.

I have looked at these before and they are quite different from the Nmoto built complete bike. Anyone have a bike built by them ?

Now a modern version of the R90s would be much more useful. I sat on an R18, I couldn't lift it off the side stand without risking a hernia.

It's a big improvement over the ginormous sized R18. They should build a mid size cruiser like the original concept bike.

If one were built like Arnie Swartznegger of old, then one would want something with a bit of substance, but for weaklings like myself the R18 is impossibly heavy.
