Correct Paint

Post by Darryl.Richman »

I can't help with the color codes, but I always supply my painter with as many photos as I can of the pinstripe locations, that should also allow him to get the width and arrangement of stripes correct.

Correct Paint

Post by VBMWMO »

I am having my 1972 R75/5 painted by the guy who does my cars. Is there a correct black paint for him to use? I realize that Glasurit code #086 is the original paint used, but how would I tell a car guy what exact color that is. Do you know a modern paint that matches up well?
Also, I will supply him some photos, is there a better way to duplicate the pin stripes position, width, etc? Thanks for any help/advice you have in this matter.
