Upon removing my speedometer to send out for repair I found this Green wire with red or brown tracer. The wire comes from a group of three, The other 2 wires are yellow and black from the loom in the picture.
Help , where does it go?

Thanks Tommy, application /5 with fuses 1973. As noted disconnected wire was found during speedo removal.
If someone has bucket pictures that would help. Also the loom coming into the bucket with 3 wires yellow, black and the wire in question green w red tracer.

From the BMW CD wiring diagram, I see two different green w/ red wires. One is associated with the rear brake light switch...looks like it was connected to some kind of connector block. The other wire was connected to terminal 30 on the low beam/high beam headlight switch...on the other end it was connected to terminal 30/51 on the headlight circuit board.

Green wire with red stripe is the (+12v) wire brake light.

Thanks Craig, back to the original question, where does this wire attach in the bucket?
Please review first post for details.

Craig
Yes that color is also used from the front brake light switch and back to a connector to brake pedal switch and then to the brake light.

The other green/red color wire (together with a black and yellow wire ) comes from the headlight dimmer switch
So that wire is used to flash the high beam and is connected to 30/51 on the ignition switch board as Kurt noted

Thanks Kurt and Tommy:
Now to identify the 30/51 location on the ignition/light switch. The end of the wire is tinned suggesting this is going to a clamp connection.Sure would be great to see a picture with this attached in the bucket.
