Here we go again. I purchased a bench seat to replace my current Corbin ugly dual seat. And it appears that we are going to fall short to
Meet the gas tank snug.
It's important to get the right seat...not sure which version you bought. For example, between the /6 and /7 bikes, the /6 typically has a short tank and a long seat whereas the /7 has a long tank and short seat. So, different combinations of tanks and seats might not work...either they physically don't fit or there could be a gap between tank and seat. Looks like you have the /6 tank (short) and the /7 seat (short) thus there's the gap.

Fast. Neat. Average. Friendly. Good. Good.
I think the issue is going to be the hinges and how the seat sits on the subframe. Did you have a Corbin before...or was is a Russell? Anyway, I think those aftermarket seats were built on the old pan. If so, would it be possible to find a way to rebuild the seat on the old pan? I've seen here on the forum people have purchased the cover and then had an upholstery shop build the seat.

I would appreciate that. Please and thank you very kind of you to offer I will gladly pay for shipping and hopefully pay something in return
OK - send me a PM with your address, and I'll work up a shipping quote. And, hey - if I can help someone be happy with their Airhead and get some unused stuff out of my house, even better.
