Randy's tip on putting a washer on before the fuel line is a fuel barb saver. The barbs are made of plastic and have a tendency to break when people pull on the fuel line. It's like the Chinese Finger Trap - when you pull the fuel line it shrinks on the barb. If you push from the washer it expands the fuel line over the barb and slides off easily.
I use a cheap pair of Hose Pliers from Amazon and they work like a charm

From the /6 owners manual: "On order to prevent fuel from flowing into the cylinders in the event of a leaking fuel feed valve, excess fuel is conducted away to atmosphere by a pipe in the float chamber."
I actually think mine are clogged because even when overfilled mine don't leak through there.
