Wondering about the history of my R65LS

Post by REDSZQ »

Hello All! I bought a 1984 R65LS last year and after some considerable effort have it running pretty well again! Yay!

According to the title, I am the 7th owner. I am looking to learn more about the history -- journeys, and mechanical triumphs or services this motorcycle and it's owners have experienced in the previous 47 years!

The owner's manual tells me it was originally purchased by Jeffery Moench from Dallas Suzuki (now defunct), in TX on 5/28/85 -- clearly not the "Vintage BMW" it is now. I purchased it from Rene Cuaycong and would love for him to know that I am taking good care and enjoying this motorcycle that was once his. Vin WB103 6506E 63716 84

Can any of you link me to these people, owners in between, or stories involving any of the same?
TIA Susan

Welcome! I can't help with tracing owners...I have the same issue on my R69S. From the VIN online sources, the bike was built in 9/1984, so it is an early '85 model.

Fast. Neat. Average. Friendly. Good. Good.
