R100GS/PD filler cap vent hose

Post by San Arthur »

The filler cap vent hose on my PD dried and broke, I removed it a few years back.
I want to replace it but I don't remember the route it needs to follow.
Is 1.3m or 4.4 feet long, I imagine it should drain fuel to the back, maybe close to the battery drain?

Would you check your PD and let me know?

Thanks

Part No.: 16 13 2 307 010
Description: Hose 1330mm. NOTE: This is a non-braided rubber vent hose 6mm ID x 9mm OD. It is not a fuel hose.

Posting as someone who can only conjecture based upon the configuration of my R80 G/S, the hose vents straight forward and through a hollow steering head nut which would allow excess gas pressure to be relieved through the headstock. It was not my understanding that liquid fuel was expelled through this hose but rather excess pressure created during the sort of fuel agitation that occurs when riding off-road.

Would love to hear more definitive information but an expert.
